How Much Can We Afford to Spend on the Bail Out?

November 29, 2008

I have been searching for an answer to this question since everyone started talking about giving out money to bouy up the U.S. economy.  The other most obvious question — “where is all of this money coming from” is also a concern to me.  Well today I picked up an article from the RIS Media website that answered my questions simply and understandably in language I, as a layman, can understand.  The article was formatted in a “just the facts” manner which I am coming to appreciate more and more.  So here is a “primer” by Jack Chang.  Hope it is illuminating to you too!!

Once you realize money is simply printed, without backing, you can understand how trillions becomes meaningless.

People don’t know, don’t care, just don’t ! If you go to the grocery store and plop down a $10 bill, backed by nothing, you still get the groceries. Isn’t this a great country or what?

Got something to say?
